We didn't know at the time what was happening in New York or anywhere as were travelling
through the desert in Namibia in 2 Land Rovers. We asked our guides to stop so we could take pictures of the unusual sky. We found out after dinner that night what had happened, but it wasn't until we got home and saw the time recorded on the video tape that we realized it corresponded roughly with the same time the planes were hitting the WTC.
It was 2 days later, we arrived in Swakopmund that we actually saw coverage of the tragedy on TV.
Now that I have a scanner, I thought this would be a good picture to scan and post.
