37 and 48 storeys tall going up on spec 
The billion dollar "The Bow" , EnCana Energy's new head office is to start this spring.

Buddhist temple on 4 Ave. & 10 St. SW. This used to be a small office building and then it became the Mountain Equipment Co-op store for years and now it is slowly transforming in to the temple shown in the rendering. They still need to put the big roof on top. Saturday, March 24, 2007

Joe Phillips Building
this old warehouse sat empty with smashed out windows for years. It has been rehabbed into a nice office building in the Eau Claire district downtown

Canterra
Tied for 5th tallest building downtown, built for an oil company named Canterra, which was bought out and disappeared before the building was finished. I guess because the tower has many tenants, instead of one major tenant, the name of the building has never been changed.

Encana's new building has approval from Calgary's Planning Commission.
The Bow building will now be 58 storeys, one storey shorter than first planned.
Builders say the shorter structure will reduce the shadows the building will cast on the downtown core.
The project will also have a seven storey atrium, which will include a boutique hotel, retail stores, and cultural space for museums and galleries.
The city's roads department is still working on a report with the developers on traffic closures during construction.
That will go to a city hall committee on March 21st for approval.
It will then have to be approved by council.
